Introducing Talents of Discipline “Educational Digital Media & Visualization” base was formally established in 2006. It mainly focuses on educational informatization technologies. Under the construction of the introduction of the base, the researches on the education informatization technologies in Central China Normal University have reached the first place in the country and achieved advanced level in the world, including key technologies for visualizing knowledge in the creative, production, management, and service aspects of digital media content, formulating related product specifications and engineering methods, and developing corresponding core software. Specifically, it involves three research directions: educational information technology, educational digital media technology, and visual knowledge services.

As a leading introducing talents base supported by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, it is guided by the development trend of educational informatization and the development strategy of Central China Normal University. Based on “education-oriented, interdisciplinary, supporting innovation, and leading the future”, it brings together advanced interdisciplinary subjects such as digital media for education at Central China Normal University. It has successfully introduced 220 overseas talents, including 11 academic masters and senior academic experts, 79 senior professional titles. It has also built four national-level bases, including “National Engineering Research Center for E-learning”, five provincial and municipal-level bases, and two industrial bases.
