Shixin Peng is an Associate Professor, Master’s Supervisor at Central China Normal University. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication and Information System from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and joined the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning in 2017.

His research focuses on Educational Large Models, Multimodal LLM, LLM and Mental Health, SEL Evaluation and Intervention based on LLM, and Multimodal Personalization Modeling. In 2024-2025, he was fully funded as Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research at The Education University of Hong Kong, focusing on LLM-Enhanced Mental Health and LLM-based Personalization Modeling.

Dr Peng has led five projects funded by organizations such as the Special Fund for China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (Grant No. 2022T150250) and The Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education (Grant No. 19YJC880068) and has been a key participant in several major national projects. He has published nearly 30 papers. He holds four authorized patents and has received numerous awards, including First Prize for Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress (2020) and the Excellent Award for First National Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (2021).
