




Liang Zhao is an Associate Professor at the National Engineering Research Center of Educational Big Data, Central China Normal University. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, she held a postdoctoral position at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics (@UCD), Dublin, Ireland. Her research interests include remote sensing, wearable signal processing, affective computing, and deep learning. Dr. Zhao has published over 70 papers in academic journals and international conferences, and has been granted 13 domestic and international invention patents (including 3 U.S. invention patents).
She has received a series of honors, including the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Hubei Province, the First Prize for Teaching Achievements in Hubei Province, and the Chutian Scholar award in Hubei Province. Dr. Zhao has led several important projects, such as sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program, National Natural Science Foundation project, Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences project, and Hubei Provincial Natural Science project. She formerly served as an editor for Optik and is currently an editor for SN Computer Science.
