Short Bio

Professor Tao Huang is a Full Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Central China Normal University (CCNU). He serves as the Deputy Director of the National Engineering Research Center of Educational Big Data and the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Ningxia Normal University, and Executive Director of the National Training Base for Digital Literacy and Skills (Digital Learning Track). His research focuses on the theory and practice of smart education and educational digitalization, as well as artificial intelligence and learning assessment.

Professor Huang has led over 10 national-level research projects, including projects under the National Key R&D Program, projects under the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Key Project of the National Planning Fund for Education Science, and projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), among others. He has also presided over more than 20 regional-level research initiatives focused on educational digitalization. He independently developed an intelligent learning system, which has been widely applied in over 300 rural schools across China.

He has published 4 academic monographs and over 60 papers in high-impact journals—such as Knowledge-Based Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, and IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies. Additionally, he holds more than 20 national invention patents. As a core team member, his research achievements have won multiple prestigious awards, including the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award (Ministry of Education) and the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award (Hubei Province).
