Short Bio

Dongbo Zhou is a Professor, Master’s and Doctoral Supervisor at Central China Normal University. He earned his Ph.D. in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing in 2011, after that he joined the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning in 2011.

His research focuses on visual analysis for educational big data, 3D modeling for meta teacher, data-drive and AI combined educational evaluation, online learning, and higher-order cognitive analysis based on behavioral data. In 2016, he was fully funded by the China Scholarship Council to conduct research at Drexel University in USA, focusing on educational big data analysis technologies.

Professor Zhou has led five projects funded by organizations such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has published over 30 high-impact papers, hold 14 patents (4 overseas patents), 3 national standards and has received numerous awards, including First Prize for Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress (2024) and the First Prize for Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress (2019).
