Jianwen Sun is a Professor, Master’s and Doctoral Supervisor at Central China Normal University, serving as the deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, and deputy director of the National Engineering Research Center of Educational Big Data.
He has been engaged in cross disciplinary research on “AI + Education” for a long time, and his recent research interests focus on Educational Data Mining, AI for Learning Sciences, and Large Language Model for Education. He is serving as the deputy director of the Primary and Secondary School Information Technology Education Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Education, deputy secretary-general of the Research Association of Learning Sciences of Chinese Association of Higher Education, deputy secretary-general of the Smart Education Professional Committee of Chinese Association of Automation, and academic secretary for the annual conference of F0701 discipline of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
He has led more than 10 initiatives including the National Science and Technology Major Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Humanity and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education of China, and Youth Al Talents Fund of the Chinese Association of Automation under Major Program. He has authored over 50 papers in top-tier international journals and conferences such as Nature Computational Science, SCIENCE CHINA Information Sciences, ACM/IEEE Trans, AAAI, ACM MM, AIED, KDD, NeurIPS, WWW, etc. He is a review expert for multiple projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Science Fund of China for Education Sciences, Humanity and Social Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education of China, and Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Awards.
