




Liao Shengbin, from Gong’an, Hubei Province, holds an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Simulation from Xi’an Jiaotong University and a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence in Education at Central China Normal University. With an interdisciplinary background spanning education, science and engineering, he has conducted visiting research at the University of Essex (UK), the University of Wollongong (Australia), and the University of East Anglia (UK). His main research interests include artificial intelligence, smart education, and the digital transformation of education.
He has been the Principal Investigator (PI) of more than ten projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, and the Wuhan Science & Technology Plan. He has authored three books, among them “Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence,” and has published over 60 papers in international journals (e.g., IEEE TNNLS) and at prestigious conferences. He has also been granted more than ten national invention patents.
