Opening Ceremony of the 2024 National Training Program for Enhancing Information Technology Leadership in School Management Teams of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps

On August 9, 2024, the Training Program to Enhance Information Technology Leadership for School Management Teams under the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps’ 2024 National Training Program officially began at Central China Normal University. The program is hosted by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Education Bureau and organized by Central China Normal University.

One hundred principals and vice principals responsible for IT from primary and secondary schools across the Xinjiang Corps gathered in Room 101 of the New Liberal Arts Complex for the opening ceremony. University leaders, program coordinators, and teaching experts were also present, marking the start of an intensive week-long learning experience.

 

At the ceremony, Dean Wu Junqi of Central China Normal University warmly welcomed the participants who had traveled from afar. He highlighted the university’s impressive achievements and innovations in intelligent education, emphasizing the important role digital technology plays in modern education.

Dean Wu emphasized that this training program is designed to strengthen the information technology leadership skills of school management teams within the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. He expressed hope that, through comprehensive learning and practical experience, the program would promote the digital transformation and development of education across the Corps.


  

Focused on “Enhancing Information Technology Leadership for School Management Teams,” this training program offers a rich and comprehensive curriculum. It combines 56 hours of intensive in-person sessions with 50 hours of online workshops.

The courses cover a wide range of topics, including using information technology in school management, analyzing educational big data, developing smart campuses, and planning and implementing educational informatization projects. By combining structured learning with practical exercises, the program aims to deepen participants’ knowledge of the latest educational technologies, equip them with digital management skills, and strengthen their decision-making and implementation abilities in a technology-driven environment. Ultimately, the program seeks to greatly improve the overall quality of education within the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Professor Wu began by describing the qualities of an excellent teacher in the digital era. He emphasized that educators should be skilled not only in information technology, teaching methods, and subject knowledge but also in integrating digital tools before class, using human-computer collaboration during lessons, and encouraging students to expand their knowledge afterward. He stressed the importance of meeting each student’s individual needs and using digital technology to enhance both teaching effectiveness and overall quality.

After Professor Wu Junqi’s lecture concluded successfully, the 2024 National Training Program for Enhancing Information Technology Leadership of School Management Teams in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps officially began. Over the next week, participants will embark on a shared journey of learning and growth, fueled by their passion for education and dedication to becoming outstanding educators. They are committed to continuous learning and striving for excellence in their professional roles.
