Integration, Innovation, and Application in Higher Education

Central China Normal University was one of the first to lead education reform driven by informatization, and in 2012 it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first pilot institutions for educational informatization. The university embraces the strategic goal of advancing education modernization through informatization, placing information technology at the core of its strategy and committing to deeply integrating IT with teaching and learning.

With support from the National Engineering Laboratory, the university focuses on three main challenges in developing talent for the information age:

  • How to use information technology effectively to build a student-centered talent development system that meets the needs of the information era;

  • How to use IT to share high-quality resources and create innovative teaching methods, leveraging educational big data to balance large-scale instruction with personalized learning;

  • How to build a campus culture that values teaching excellence, encourages innovation, and inspires passion for effective and joyful education in today’s digital world.
