The National Engineering Research Center for Educational Big Data (hereafter referred to as the National Engineering Research Center) was officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2017. It serves as a national-level research platform focused on the research and innovative application of educational big data. In 2021, it was incorporated into the latest cohort of National Engineering Research Centers, becoming a vital component of the country’s strategic science and technology initiatives.
